One of the brands I'm obsessing over these days is GIVENCHY.
A Parisian Luxury Fashion house, founded in 1952 by designer Huber de Givenchy.
Worn casually by celebrities, the filthy rich (pls adopt me) and those questionable people who can afford every luxury brand and go on those amazing holidays every few months… We all have that one person on our Insta feed TBH.
I love the aesthetic Riccardo Tisci, brought to the brand Givenchy. He brought his own style and influence when he came to the fashion house in 2005. He added a sense of romantic darkness, furthermore he introduced colours, wildlife and floral prints which was all new to the fashion brand. The prints are iconic and in your face, yet I still find the pieces minimalist. I love the gothic, sensual and yet rebellious vibes of Givenchy. I'm Excited and interested in which direction the new artistic director, Clare Waight Keller, takes the fashion house!
As I said from my previous blog post, when buying anything from a luxury fashion brand, it’s important that…
All season appropriate / multiple use: Think about the amount of use you will have with the item, make sure it fits into your lifestyle.
Do your research: Look at reputable sites and compare prices. Go into an actual site and try the item out! Don't be embarrassed, at the end of the day, you are paying a lot of money and if you’re an online noob like me, you don't want to have to send the item back cause your size is wrong. I personally buy all my items in store cause you can build a relationship with the sales associates and also try on the items.
Its an investment: Quality over Quantity.
So anyways, I bought two items, not at the same time nor month because I have needs and a boy gotta eat and live! I had to save money and live on a budget, staying at home during days off and giving up the brunch life. #firstworldproblems
TWO things I'm really into right now, I believe a staple of my style aesthetic being homeless chic, Extra AF and being TRASHLUX #setthatuprealgood.
SLIDES AND DRAWSTRING BAGS.
Ill post more about the drawstring backpack at a later blog post. Cause these slides are giving me life and I'm now questioning what the forrest photoshoot had to do with the slides. Don't get me wrong, I'm living for the photos and a massive thanks to @babyfishmouth_ for the SIQQQ photography.
